Ina and Tony: October 6, 2012

Ina & Tony had their ceremony at the gorgeous Knowles Memorial Chapel on the campus of Rollins College. The wedding ceremony was very formal and elegant, and matched the exquisite architecture of the chapel. Special thanks to photographer Tamra Knight for capturing these beautiful images.

Flora and Fauna Fridays: Celosia

Celosia (aka coxcomb) is a fabulous coral reef looking flower! It's a great addition to any bouquet if you're looking for vibrant color and something a little more unique. It's velvety swirls come in a variety of hot colors.

Flora and Fauna Friday: The Football Mum

Nothing says "Welcome Fall" like a blooming pot of mums! You know the kind that are so inviting on your front porch? I love those.

The football mum (the most spectacular mum of all, imho) is a fairly popular pick for florists. It comes in a range of colors, which makes it perfect to use year round, especially when you really need to find that one dark red/orange/fall color, as I've experienced lately.

The football mum is versatile, pairs well with other flowers, or shines on its own. It's a great substitute for the short-lived dahlia, or even peony.

Navy & Pink Bouquet

Do you remember the Navy & Pink Inspiration Board? Well here are the flowers!

The bride requested roses and calla lilies, very simple and elegant. She wanted it slightly loose so I left the rose leaves on there to give it a little movement at the base. I really like the dark ribbon with the bright callas.

I think you could also pull this color scheme off with other varieties of flowers, especially some wildflowers and lots of greenery. But I am partial to that 'lots of greenery'... it just offers so much depth!
